Here is a video of Sahil Adeem praising and promoting a Mystic/Sufi Mansoor Al Hallaj- a well known Sufi mystic who was executed for his famous words “Ann al Haq” or ” I am the truth” and his other deviant beliefs regarding Islam.

Since centuries people are blindly promoting Sufism/Mysticism and declaring these guys as Saints or Awliyas, ignoring all their deviant beliefs and innovations. Although there were some actually good guys among them, but one should not promote his view about a personality without doing a deep research on that figure.

Here are some clearly Deviant Beliefs of Al Hallaj that are clearly borrowed from Hinduism and Buddhism, it is well known that after his visit to India , he learned about Mysticism and his all beliefs were reformed.

  • He believed in merging with the Divine or also known as Moksh and Nirvana in eastern religion
  • According to him one should rely on mystical practices and ignore the ritual worship
  • Al-Hallaj believed in a universal connection between all religions, implying that truth exists beyond Islam
  • He believed in the concept of reincarnation
  • More details about his beliefs can be found on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Hallaj and Islamqa: https://islamqa.info/en/answers/21379/who-was-al-hallaaj

Not only Mansur believed in these concepts but many more prominent Sufis/mystics, but still many scholars ignore their deviant beliefs and still promote them just because their whole sect stands on the teachings of these mystics. They try to cover their deviant beliefs by doing a metaphorical interpretation of their deviant and un-Islamic beliefs. There is no doubt that majority of the Sufi beliefs are influenced from Hindu Philosophy of the the subcontinent. You may have seen that majority of the saints or to whom we call “Awliya” belong to this land.

Below are some videos where we can see the clear ignorance of Sahil Adeem promoting Al Hallaj and teaching wrong information to the youth. People who have high following like him should refrain from speaking on the topics that you do not sufficient knowledge.

Sahil Promoting wrong information ignorantly

Another video of Sahil ignorantly promoting the deviant sufi in his American accent :

Conclusion:

We should start verifying and researching everything that these YouTube scholars tell us and not follow or promote everything blindly. People like Sahil should also refrain from spreading false information. No matter how much we like someone, one should learn to disagree on the things that aren’t justified.

Allah Hafiz.
